FRANKIE

I chose this image because it was the day I met Frankie, my ESA (Emotional support animal). After thoughtful consideration and discussion with my parents, I felt that I would benefit from having an ESA, and specifically a dog. This was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. We knew we had to pick a smaller breed dog so that I could bring him to college with me, and so we chose a breed that we could predict his size. I knew he was the one meant for me from the minute I saw his picture. We made sure we were there when the building opened, and we went straight to his cage and asked to see him. He was joyful, playful, funny, happy, and a bit of a "stinker". Since that day, he has become my best friend. He instinctively seems to know when I'm stressed or feeling overwhelmed, and will sit quietly on my lap and let me cuddle him, even though he is normally a very active dog. Just feeling his soft fur or a little lick on my nose makes me feel better. He truly was the best decision I ever made.
